a love solely for sandals

Jack Rogers are a girl's best friend. As the temps heat up, I'm breaking mine out more and more every week. This quintessential shoe was inspired and made famous by former first lady Jackie Kennedy. She made this shoe a classic. 

I purchased my first pair of Jacks last summer, and I'm so happy I joined the bandwagon. I love them! When you wear them for the first time, they can be quite hard and uncomfortable. But after a few wears of breaking them in, they mold to your feet and become yours. They are actually one of the most comfortable sandals I own. A few weeks after I bought my first pair in platinum, I bought another pair of the classic Navajos in black. 

I'm looking forward to splurging on a colorful pair (or a couple pairs) and new style like the Lauren. I'm totally into jazzing up my sandals and making them a statement piece in my outfit. Spring and summer are a great way to add color without feeling out of place. I love rocking my bright Lilly Pulitzer outfits with my Jack Rogers as well!

MTV Movie Awards Report

Last night in LA the stars gathered together for the MTV Movie Awards. Although this show doesn't bring out Hollywood legends, it's definitely the place for pop icons and emerging stars to shine. My best dressed picks include Shailene Woodley and Jessica Alba. Of course Lupita Nyong'o can do no wrong, and she proved that her style knows how the have fun. I love how she experiments with color! Shailene turned a what normally looks like vomit into an incredibly chic look. And Jessica Alba made one of the spring's hottest trends, the crop top, into a major red carpet look! The fashion at the MTV Movie Awards is always exciting and adventurous, and last night was definitely no different!

As the weather is warming up, my cravings for ice cream are heating up as well! (I LOVE ICE CREAM). So in honor of the warmer days ahead, I thought I would share fun pics of my favorite sweet treat. I'm a birthday cake ice cream with rainbow sprinkles kinda girl.
