j.crew jewels

I have a serious love affair with J. Crew's jewelry collection. It's extremely classic and well made. And while I haven't purchased a statement necklace from J. Crew (so so sad), every time I visit a store I'm drooling over the latest piece(s) in the display case.

As I was casually online shopping (something that I seem to do regularly), I stumbled across the jewelry section of J. Crew and fell in love, as usual. I decided to share some of my favorite pieces that I came across. I'm obsessed with bright blues right now so the Crystal Mobile Necklace and Earrings are EVERYTHING to me! In addition to bright blue, I'm crushing on simple white and gold pieces that are fresh and standout against any outfit (bright or neutral).

I'm hoping that I can make one (or couple but really all) of the lovely pieces mine in the near future. Happy shopping!

Met Gala Madness

I'M BACK! It's been completely hectic finishing my final exams and packing up my dorm room, but I'm finally home and on summer vacation! (cue HSM 2 music)

Monday night, A-list stars and fashion legends gathered in New York City at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for one of fashion's most iconic nights. It's traditional to see wild fashion with each year's theme; however, this year we saw a mixture of outrageous looks which were mostly off the mark (were looking at you Katie Holmes and Kate Upton) paired with very classic, regal gowns which were totally on the mark in honoring Charles James.

So many couples knocked it out of the park including the stunning Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds and Beyonce and Jay-Z (Blake has me reliving my Gossip Girl days). I'm loving the gold and silver that I saw on the red carpet last night along with the shades of pink and red!
