Golden Globe Awards 2015 - Red Carpet Report

Happy Awards Season!!

Below are some of my favorite looks from Sunday night's Golden Globe Awards.

Some of the biggest trends I saw last night were silver metallic looks along with beautiful blush/nude tones. Classic black is always a red carpet standout. I would have to say that last night's fashion was not a disappointment. Emma Stone's pants ensemble, YES. Hosts Amy Poehler and Tina Fey SLAYED it; their jokes were totally on the mark.  There are just way too many beautiful looks to include on this post (newcomer Gina Rodriquez looked beautiful as well). But I would have to say that my best dressed last night would have to be Kate Hudson or Julianne Moore.

Enjoy!
PS. Eddie Redmayne, adorbs.

say hello to Lilly Pulitzer for Target

So if you haven't heard the AMAZING news by now, you've been living under a rock!
Tuesday night, Target announced their newest brand collaboration for the Spring and the lucky company is one of my all time favorites, Lilly Pulitzer. This marketing strategy is one for the books!

The pictures are stunning, the colors are vibrant and fabulous which make me yearn more and more for warmer weather and spring fashion. When I read about the news on Twitter last night, I was grinning from ear to ear. The hammock, umbrella, chairs, flatware, cosmetic bags, cushions, bathing suits, shorts, and cute espadrilles (swoon) are a "ticket to sunshine" (Target's slogan for the collection).

With 250 items in the collection, most of which are under $30, Lilly Pulitzer for Target is a Lilly-loving college girl's dream collection. What I love most about this collaboration is the accessibility that it will provide to those who typically can't afford to splurge on a Lilly Pulitzer shift dress each season. Lilly Pulitzer for Target is the perfect method to spread Lilly Pulitzer's sunny state of mind to all! While many criticize that this collaboration will "cheapen" the luxury brand, I believe this collab will do the exact opposite. Lilly is not selling its brand to Target, it has simply created a modified line designed for Target that will feature exclusive products and prints Lilly fans would never have access to if it weren't for this Target collab.

You can bet that I have April 19th marked on my calendar, and I'll be staked out front of the nearest Target to campus ordering everything under the bright sun.
